Sadly, Hugo gained his angel wings on the evening of 12 March 2021.
A message from his family:
“Hugo was on the mend but took a turn last night. The Vet did everything they could to save him, and he fought hard the last few days.
Unfortunately he developed sepsis and went into sepsis shock and passed away at the Vet last night.
Hugo had been through a lot the last few months. We’re very grateful for the kindness so many strangers showed him in the end, and we got to say goodbye.”
Run free over the rainbow bridge sweet Hugo. Your Mummy thinks of you every day, and now you’re her special little angel.

UPDATE – 10 March 2021 – Hugo is recovering from his street life ordeal. He was uninjured and didn’t have cat flu, however he was very dehydrated and malnourished.
From his family: “He’s on the mend, staying at the vet for a couple more days. Thank you and everyone who helped to bring him in, we are very thankful 
”
#REUNITED – 9 March 2021 – after FOUR MONTHS…. found only SIX BLOCKS from home!
Very unwell, captured and reunited via MICROCHIP! Get well soon Hugo.

Hugo – Blue point ragdoll went missing from Countess Street, Mosman, near Spit Junction.
My cat Hugo had just moved to stay with some family in Mosman yesterday (from Newcastle) and escaped overnight. He doesn’t know the family or the house so might not find his way back.
He’s very shy and scared generally so unlikely to approach people.
He’s microchipped but doesn’t have a collar.

I watched your rescue by the firemen via FaceTime with my bestie Lara. I live in Noosa….
I watched you being rescued from under the road in the drain. What a wonderful job those dedicated firemen did. They were not giving up.
You tried so hard to make it. I am so sad that you are now in heaven. You have become an angel now.

Dear Hugo’s family, I’m so sorry about your gorgeous boy. I remember your first posts and was so glad he was found. Sorry that you had to go through such a loss, but at least you did find him, that is some consolation. Hugo was loved and I’m sure he knew that.
