Another great feature is the “Holiday Cancellation” coverage. If your pet becomes ill or is missing before your holiday or whilst you are away, PetPlan will reimburse you for some expenses due to your cancelled holiday.

This pet insurance will also help pay for advertisements to locate a lost pet, and for the cost of the pet should your dog or cat pass away.

In order to keep your monthly premiums low, you can choose a higher excess amount. This will still provide the best cover with a lower monthly payment.

For convenience sake, you have the option of paying monthly or yearly, and there is a small savings if you opt for annual payments.

You can use any vet that practices in Australia, which means you will not have to switch vets.

This plan also offers an option that includes boarding should you be hospitalised. Another option provides for much of the annual routine care required by your pet. There is an additional monthly premium of $9.75 for the routine cover.

You can cancel the cover within 14 days, which gives you a chance to carefully look over the policy.

You can choose to pay premiums by the fortnight, month or year. Policies start at just $9.40 per month for accident coverage up to $43 per month with lower excess and more inclusive cover.
