Ember is a four-year-old, medium-hair, desexed female dark tortoiseshell tabby rescue cat, who is currently living with me in Sydney.  I already have four forever cats, all with strong personalities, and they have made it clear that it is too stressful having five fur-persons in a small home.  I am moving, so now is a good time to find Ember a new home.

Ember is very affectionate once she learns to trust you; but still very wary after spending her first two years living as a hungry, frightened street cat.  She would flourish living somewhere where she can have some cuddles (she doesn’t like being picked up, but will jump onto your lap and purr like a motorboat), receive good medical care when it’s needed, and be free to go outdoors to use her skills as a mouser, when she wants to – she panics if she is confined indoors for more than a short time.

Not suited to a home with small children, dogs or other cats (unless the cat is very placid and confident).  Ember has a lot of love to give and is an independent yet wonderful companion.
