NEWS FLASH:  The Friends of Paws in Prison charity has managed to save the program for another year, on trial with the new management company.  However, there are still many dogs available for adoption.

ROGER was ADOPTED… but read his story as it is similar to the other Dogs currently available, all in the PIP training program.

Roger has been in training at Paws in Prison – Lockhart, Texas, USA, but he and his prison-dog buddies are all available for adoption.

Roger is, likely, a Lab/Akita mix, so he’s a big guy.  He’s fun-loving, happy, and loves to work.

When he mastered all his basic manners and a bunch of tricks and still needed more to do, his handlers taught him to bring them his leash, to pick something up off the floor and put it on a table, to carry a bag, and to help a person stand up from sitting.  He’s still learning more.

We would love to see Roger go to a person who is looking to complete his training as a service dog, or to a family that needs a super smart, helpful companion.  We have the possibility to support transport to the right adopter or service training program in the United States.
