Description
$1,000 REWARD
DESPERATELY SEEKING DARCY
Darcy is a primarily white and grey cockatiel, he is 9 years old and used to being with people indoors at home. He was last seen on Anzac Day weekend, in Forest Road, Heathcote
9 years ago, I hand reared him from a hatchling. He has been with me through every hardship in life, every challenge, my university days, my first ever job, my awkward growing up phase, my first broken heart, three interstate moves for work and into married adult life. When I went through loss, he was my constant companion and he is my best friend.
I have posted hundreds of flyers, letterbox dropped at every house I can, posted on parrot alert, pet finder, RSPCA, WIRES, community boards online and local, shop fronts, veterinary clinics. Tirelessly we have worked in the hope that somehow, someway we get him back. On the day we lost him, there was a south westerly wind.
Darcy’s wings are not clipped. He was an inside bird and spent most time on my shoulder. He says phrases like ‘peek-a-boo, whatcha doing?, Who’s a pretty boy, Darcy pretty Bubba.’ He loves to eat plain pasta, apples and brocolli. He loves seed treats too.
If you can, please search your yards, your local parks and call me day or night if you see him. If you see him, please try to coax him down by calling his name, he will most likely be quite scared. Call him with “Darcy, peek-a-boo, pretty boy, whatcha doin, Darcy pretty Bubba”, and if possible offer him cooked plain Pasta, brocolli or honey seeds- his favourite foods! Cover him gently with a t-shirt or cloth and bring him indoors away from other pets. He will be tired and hungry and may need rehydration and food so that he survives. Contact me immediately if you are able to bring him indoors, so I can take him to a vet. Please also share this if you can. Every share is one link towards finding him. We need our community now more than ever. Thank you if you took the time to read this. And especially if you searched or shared on our behalf. We so desperately want him home safe.

Post seen on Facebook in the group cockatiels lost and found posted by Elizabeth Cass – bird has been taken to Green cross vets Petersham contact 9568 3077.
Noticed the grey down the chest of the bird looks like a match – hope it’s the right bird.
