“Archie” the Ginger & White Cat, Mosman NSW 2088

  • Listed: December 22, 2018 5:02 pm

Description

Archie, as he became known, was taken into care this morning, 27 December 2018.  After a week of feeding and monitoring, a caring team of volunteers took him to two local Vets for assessment today.

Archie was very unwell, diagnosed with FIV (Feline AIDS) and many other ailments that confirmed he was suffering and his life would be very short, even with the best care available.  He was quite immobile and presented as much older than his 6-7 years of age.  Sadly a decision was made to help Archie find peace and free him from his pain.  Archie was an intact male, not microchipped and no records of ownership could be found.

“His last days were surrounded by people who cared for him – It’s unfortunate that his injuries and FIV diagnosis meant he could not be saved – He was in much pain and suffering greatly.
Thanks to all who helped.” – M, care volunteer.

Thank you to everyone who posted, shared, visited, fed and loved Archie in his twilight.  He left this world very well fed, with a warm bed, protected and loved by a wonderful community.

. . . . . . . . . .

Ginger & White Cat found frequenting the area around Mosman Council and Mosman Library, in Sydney.

Appears to be injured or unwell and is scared if approached.  There have been numerous sightings since the beginning of November.

Do you recognise him?  Did your neighbours or anyone you know have a Ginger Cat disappear recently.

Please share this page to your social media networks to help find his family.

Thank you.
