THIS RED COLLARED LORIKEET IS BACK WITH HIS FAMILY AFTER ALMOST 2 WEEKS IN THE GREAT OUTDOORS. A HAPPY ENDING FOR THEM AND VERY JOYFUL FOR ME. I’ M SORRY FOR ALL THAT HAVE SEEN THIS AD. AND HOPED HE WAS THEIR LITTLE ONE. I WISH THE BEST FOR ALL OF YOU. BTW if you see this ad. Anywhere else coul you please let the site know that I have found the owner. I don’t remember all the sites I posted on as there were so many! Every time I think I’ve got the last one – I get another message from a desperate and hopeful owner. I think the ad has gone a bit viral. Anything you can do to get this found ad down from other sites you find it on would be appreciated. I just get an awful sinking feeling when I think about yet another owner desperately seeking their bird, finding my ad. and having their hopes dshd again. Thank you to everyone. What a great community you have! Best wishes to those of you who are lookin for their lost little pals.

found at Lake Haven shopping centre 1/11/2011. Spoke to local pet shops. There was a local pet shop that remembered a woman who rang last week (approx. Wed. 26th October). She was very upset & distressed on the phone. We think this might be the owner. ……………………………………………………. I hope I can find you “owner of the lost bird” especially if you are the woman who rang the pet barn last week. ‘
The guy there lost your number. I’ll keep looking for you.

hi.. there is a lady on Central Coast lost and found animals…. her name is Dianne Pinter i think… she is desperate to get her rainbow lorikeet back…. i am hoping that she is the owner …..

OWNER HAS BEEN FOUND
Hi all,the bird I found was a red collared lorikeet – beautiful bird. Unfortunately for all of you who are looking for your lost birds, I found the owner in 24 hours. And I am in no doubt that this lorikeet belonged to this family. He was so happy to see the husband (of his ‘mum’) that he danced, and talked, chattered and was completely over-excited. It was a terrifically joyous occasion for everyone. Even me! To lose a loved pet is just so devastating – I know. This bird had been gone for almost two weeks! I’m pretty sure the owner and her family thought he was really gone. So don’t lose hope. There are still people in the world (like me) who would do almost anything to care and protect an animal/bird and, if it’s a pet, do as much as possible to find the owner. BTW: I think my ad. has gone viral. I’ve tried to get it taken down from the sites I remembered but if you come across it anywhere, please, please could you let them know that this little lorikeet was a lucky one. Thanks everyone.
